oops, the 917/20 had engine damage set to 10x and damage threshold 300rpm too low. You won't blow the engine normally but this car has no rev limiter so be careful in situations where it could over rev, like a jump for instance.
I'm starting to think it is a CSP error. I've seen a few reports of this error on other boards. Once x4fab becomes aware of it I'm sure it will be fixed quickly
Never used the 512S before in a game but it jumps to 12000 rpm when you shift with autoclutch and autoblip and it goes beyond the rpm range of the car sound.
Change that to 1. Hope that's enough to stop the AI blowing their engines. Many of my cars have no rev limiter and the AI doesn't understand this at the start of a race.
The 917/20 collider is there but, I must have saved the wrong material as it doesn't show up in CM. Most cars have a 'donor' collider until I tweak, resize or rescale them.
If you can do colliders then please do so. I can port them across.
Very good. I like the blunt sides and ends, makes car to car contact simpler and less likely to ruin a race. Feel free to do as many as you like. Please don't overwork yourself, there are a lot of cars here. These files are so small you could email them directly.
My balls literally exploded when I read on GTP that you'd updated the Ferarri 512s. Then I downloaded it and they exploded again! Then i tried it and... you get the idea. You owe me three sets of unexploded balls and one box of Kleenex.
Any chance you can upload the archives in a compressed format? Not your fault but the slow zipping engine on Google Drive makes downloading folders a very time consuming experience.
Google is really bad at that isn't it. Ideally my files should be zipped and synced and still allow me to edit and sync files within the archive much like windows explorer can do. I'll see if I can organise things better at my end.
Would you please consider adding a working wiper to the T70's windshield like you did for the Ferrari? Had a bit of a giggle just now, it's raining in LeMan's and driving down Mulsanne I noticed that the rain drops appear on the gauge glass as well as the windshield! Beautiful car, best T70 available for AC!
Hi guys, I've had the 936 car for a few months now but for the life of me cannot get it to load. I always get "Race Cancelled" All of your other mods work fine but not this car and unfortunately it's the one I'd like to drive the most. Any help would be appreciated! btw, I'm new to AC but not to PCs' I started my career as a PC tech in 1989 so I like to fix things on my own, but this issue has me perplexed! Thanks!!
New version updated. Built a new collider for it. (anyone using 'car radar' please delete this cars folder in \your user name\Documents\Assetto Corsa\apps\carRadar)
This should solve your problem iff you don't have the Porsche DLC. If you do have the DLC and this still doesn't work then it will require more investigation.
Perendinator, thanks a million dude! My 936 is finally working and it's spectacular! It's so smooth and handles really well, sticks like glue at Spa! Thanks again and to all the Legion crew, you guys do amazing work and it's very much appreciated!
Perendinator,Thank you for your fantastic and hard work. I would like to ask you if it is still possible to have some mods from the era of the fantastic Bentley Bover 1931 car, I love these cars .... thank you in advance
You can only see it in game. I've done the previews but if you redo them you will have the wing back. It's only graphical so the performance of the car doesn't change. I left two models in the cars folder so you can redo the previews but this involves renaming and moving folders so can be a bit tricky.
917K 1971 Version upped. Comes with the bigger engine and very slightly better aero. Skins work but may need trimming as the fins may map to a waste area.
Found a better way to do the skin based graphical changes. They now work through all the LODs. 917K '71 updated and 917K '70 uploaded to replace the 917K.
Hello there! Thank you for the 1971 917K, couple of errors I have found:
- multiple material loading issue during the loading screen when trying to drive the car - car loads up though after clicking OK on them - #22 car - rim color is wrong, it is silver right now, the original one was black with Martini stripes on the spokes - #22 car - tail fins are not visible in the showroom (they do load up on the track though) - #22 car - there is a hole on the roof for the rearview mirror, however this exact car does not have any cutouts for the roof mirror there. - #22 car - half round shaped hole on the left side of the bodywork (between #22 and the Martini logo) should not be there, however there is fully round shaped recessed dome right behind the left door - that one should be a cutout.
Forgot to write one more: - #22 car - currently the tail fins are all blue, however on the real one it is white on the inside with a black Shell text and blue on the outside with a white border and Martini Racing Team text inside the blue part.
Cool. Thanks for reporting bugs. I can fix rim colour. The showroom(s) won't show the differences as CSP loads them only when ingame. The hole in the roof is for the versions with a mirror up there, I may or may not get around to filling it for other version. I look at the hole on the left but no promises. I can tidy up that skin.
I am not the author of the skin, however I am planning to do a 8k / 4K uncompressed one for the #22 car with better quality logos and stripes and including a few minor details, that is missing or incorrect on the current one.
Just informing that, for the 917 '71, a number of texture errors (white boxes complaining about chrome, etc) show up while the car loads onto a track. You may just want to simplify those textures, in favor of having a straight through loading. As always-thank you. (using CM)
Today's update to 917K '71 Hole in the roof only there on skins that have the top mirror. Filled in power socket as each car has it in different places. ̶T̶h̶o̶s̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶V̶R̶ ̶m̶a̶y̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶a̶p̶p̶o̶i̶n̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶I̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶m̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶a̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶p̶ ̶m̶i̶r̶r̶o̶r̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶k̶!̶ Skins still need some tidying up.
Previews can be generated by a work around. In the car folder you'll find models named for their configuration. Open up lods.ini and change the top level to the name of choice, then right click the cars livery and update preview. Bit of a hassle but it's the best I've come up with so far.
Amazing work! One thing though, the 71' 917 with the vertical fins, have a much lower tail than the 70'. More like the Mira lowtail version. Dont know if you missed that or something! Love the work anyhow. All time favorite car. Best regards, Mathias
If the Chap 2D that one our communities best friends created were to end up in your hands, is that something you'd be interested in or is it too much hassle?
Ha Ha. I was using the static models to do the previews and I forgot to go back to the real model. Fix will be in soon. But for now go to ...legion_porsche_917k_71\data\lods.ini, open that in a text viewer and change 'porsche_917k_71_TWO_FLAPS.kn5' to 'porsche_917k_71.kn5'
Hi, just noticed that the headlights weren't working properly on all 3 Mira versions - when turned on the lights were a tiny point centred in the middle of the light surface. Changing the light_0 entry int he lights.ini to read light_mask fixed it.
One more request for the #22 917K, is it possible to fill the air intakes on the bodywork (marked with the red rectangle) and flatten the roof part (marked with blue)?
Also found a bug: - the tail fins are sticking out on the rear of the bodywork, plus some serious distorsion going on there, please see the image below:
Hi, thanks for this awesome models!!! just 2 issues...in the new 917 LH the fan is not working, and the Ford P68 have blurred rims, even in static...please check it :)
Fixed. Although I didn't have the wheel blur problem, however repacked the car to be sure. Also fixed the 512s for those who hadn't downloaded the 'Extras'.
The base model, showroom and any new previews don't have the wing(s). But in game you will notice two wings, one wing and no wing versions. Unfortunately it is only graphical, the physics don't change.
In terms of competitiveness, the P68 seems to sit pretty much with the 917/512/T70 etc.. although it's sat separately in the list of cars here. Are they actually different classes? Not so familiar with the history.
FIA kept messing with the Group names but the Ferrari 312PB, Lola T280 and Ford P68 are all three litre prototypes. The Ford was much earlier than the others and because of the name shuffling ran under a different Group.
A huge thank you for the 917LH, couple of suggestions for correction:
- The rear lights on the Forza 3D model are in wrong position, they should look like this (#3 and #25 car shared the same rear light setup): https://lemans.slot-racing.fr/le-mans-1970/images/porsche-917L-25-LM70-S.jpg - The front wheels should be a bit deeper in the wheel wells and the ride height should be higher at the front, indicated them with red arrows: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49715043657_4c0f0470b8_k.jpg This picture should also serve as a good reference for the front wheel position: https://aws-cf.caradisiac.com/prod/mesimages/516970/LM70%20N%C2%B03-F018.jpg - I also experienced some weird anomalies with the shadows, only visible when using the chase camera: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49715064677_4eac89ab6c_k.jpg
Two more things: - The top speed for the 917LH should be a bit higher, around 372km/h for the #3 and 383km/h for the #25 due to the different engine. - The front wheels might be a bit oversized for this Model, not sure about this one though though, might be just the previously mentioned positioning.
Thank you for checking them in advance! In the meantime I will also make myself useful and hopefully release the Martini skin for the 917K tomorrow.
Light positions corrected. Front wheels repositioned and raised the front.
Those weird shadows have an unknown cause.
If anything the tyres are a little small, the model is pretty good scale wise, but I've also found it hard to get the exact measurements for the tyres.
Are we sure about top speeds? I took the speeds from the website Mulsanne's Corner, which quotes Le Mans speed trap as 362km/h for 1971.
Thank you very much, it the rear lights and wheels look perfect now!
Regarding the top speed: the 383km/h value for the #25 car is a qualification top speed during it's fastest lap, the source of the data is the following book: "Peter Hinsdale - The Fabulous Porsche 917" - The book is from 1972, so it might not be the most accurate one data wise, so let's just leave it as it is right now.
I will continue my search for the English version of the following book, the get the most accurate data: Walter Näher - Porsche 917 Archives and Works Catalogue 1968 - 1975, unfortunately no luck so far.
Found a bug and I have a request for the 1970 Porsche 917LH: - If I paint on the outer side of the spoiler/tail fin pieces, it will also get duplicated in mirrored form on the inside of the tail fin like this: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49728534287_1c8c86d7d2_k.jpg
- The small L-shaped metal pin located right in front of the windscreen should be moved to a new position to match the actual car, I have marked the correct postion here with a purple point / orange circle: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49727672258_bbe68c30e9_h.jpg
Remapped the inside of the fins, much better AO with it like this now. Moved the kill switch on the bonnet. Did a quick search but could not find any close up pictures so pls let me know if the kill switch is in the right place?
Sure thing, I will keep an eye out for it, thank you for the fix. Having checked the updated version: - The tail fins look great now, superb work - The killswitch is at the right position and angle, however there is still a dark spot on it's old position (I am using the new wireframe / AO for my skin, so it is definitely not there)
Everything looks great now, thank you. My night shifts finally came into an end and I will have a bit more time to work on the skin during my day offs.
Hi, yes he does, (know the guy) haha. I too have the same problem. But also the whole front end i gone when Ai is driving it, only the wheels and the driver is visible from the firewall and forward haha.
Thanks for the bug reports. The 512S didn't have the glass fully mapped so I fixed that, however the X1 should be fine. Same setting as the 917K so pretty clear until the sun reflects at an angle. I'd fixed the missing parts of the Ferrari only a couple of weeks ago, but today's update should have everything working properly.
Is it possible to split each led of "LED_YELLOW" and "LED_RED" into separate objects for the Porsche 917LH instrument panel? Finally I have found some reference material for it, so I can do a new light config.
I mean these objects: https://i.imgur.com/tSlDjL8.png
If it is possible please edit into the kn5, that I have included with the Martini skin as it contains only universal updates that would be the same with each 917LH from 1970.
Yes, I am using CM (ver. 0.8.2123.36398 (x86) & CSP (0.1.46). In the CM Showroom the skins are appearing ok (closed top all of them), only in game the hood dissappears on those 4 skins.
I downgraded to CSP 0.1.46 and it is just as you say. So seems like you'll need to upgrade your CSP version. Can'nt be sure why it stopped working at that version and I don't know which version would see it work again. I'm always on the latest version.
Hadn't come across that page before, I guess the model I used does have those popup headlights but not sure I can get them to work. Race car probably would have had the other version though.
Hello! I cannot find any info on "Porsche 917K Fittipaldi". The no. 2 & 10 skins are from the Porsche 917 K/81, but they don't look like the K/81. Can you send a link with info? pretty please
Hello friends, your work is excellent, cars of different categories and different times. I would like to suggest some cars if it is possible to convert, or even create a similar one, many of them, especially Le Mans, I have them in the game GTR2, Rfactor 2 and 1, but without a doubt it would be very interesting in the game Assetto Corsa. Some version of the Le Mans Ferrari from the early 1960s, for example 330P, 365P, 365P2, which you don't have in any game, I think they could come from the 1958 Ferrari Testa Rossa, a suggestion. Ferrari 250P ... we have the 250LM, which could be adapted. A version of Matra, winner in Le Mans 72/73/74 ... I only saw it in the GTR2, it would be incredible to be able to drive one of them in the Assetto Corsa .... Alfa Romeo T33 winner of the 1975 WSC and who knows the Gulf-Mirage winner of Le Mans in 1975, they could use the Porsche 936/76 or Renault-Alpine 442 / 442B as a base, a hug, Thanks in advance !!
Hi Legion! Was just wondering if any work is done to the 512m/cl? I mean is it converted but no physics done to it yet or something? I have plowed alot of hours, days etc working on physics on old classic cars in this game cause im a total nerd with the 60´and 70´s racecars.. If the 512 is converted, I would be more than happy if you gave me a shot of doing the physics of the cars. You send me the files, and I send you back a test, and then you can choose if you like it that way or not. (Most likely many things can be borrowed and adjusted from the 917 and 512s, to have a starting point) Hit me up if its anything of interest.
Thanks for the 60s-80s content you've created here; really appreciate the updates you've done with the Group 5 oddballs and the Gp4 and Gp6 models and for donating models to the Legends team projects. Fingers crossed someone can extract the excellent PC2 Ferrari 512s and Lotus 40.
I switched the shader used for the outer windshield and headlight covers on the 917LH '70 to KSPERPIXELREFLECTION and it looks much nicer - just FYI in case you release an update some day. Give it a try, you'll like it :)
On the subject of BOP - Just finished burning off a tank full of fuel in the 1970 917K. The grid I used included all variants of your cars from 1970. In the 917 I was matching the pole qualification time of one illustrious Mr. Rodriguez, so I suggest the 917 if fine. The 512CL was performing (under AI) excellent lap times as per history. The 512S on the other hand was 12 seconds faster than the 1970 pole... also under AI. My guess is the 512S needs a touch more drag, but the others are looking really good!
Hello ... Hello ... mate, it would be possible to make a variant with the (312PB and 512 Coda Lunga) and transform it into the 312PB Coda Lunga of Le Mans 1973. Another question, there is the possibility of converting a game to Assetto Corsa of the Porsche WSC95 winner at Le Mans, which could later be used as a variant of the Porsche LMP1 at Le Mans 1998. Once again, thank you for making us available excellent "classic cars" for the Assetto Corsa. One last question, would it be possible to convert the Le Mans Classic version (with the Ford variant) from pCars 2 to the Assetto Corsa, it seems to me that it is the only version we are missing !!!
Hey mate the wings don't show up on the 917 fittipaldi either in showroom or in game and they don't seem to have any effect on the car when driving either as the car drives the same as the other 917 models, i'm running csp 1.78 preview 1 but it doesn't change when using other vesions of csp. is there a solution to this? or does the car need updates?
By the way, I just now discovered your website... Great stuff! Also... I'm curious, since I've had the AC Legends packs for a long time, I noticed some of these cars are on those packs as well. Are these updates with more accurate physics or a completely different thing? I got that impression by driving your Lola T70 mk3... It drives very differently than the ACL version! Cheers!
Hey Legion - strange request - your 71 917 has working twin headlights but the 70 917, as with the kunos version, does not. is there any way to give the 70 the same headlights? most period photos show the 70 917 with fully working twin headlights. i did try fiddling with the no fins kn5 and using it on the kunos version along with the lights ini and proviewnodes - it worked but messed up the wheel rims! cheers.
oops, the 917/20 had engine damage set to 10x and damage threshold 300rpm too low. You won't blow the engine normally but this car has no rev limiter so be careful in situations where it could over rev, like a jump for instance.
ReplyDeleteHey the Lola T70 looks stunning.
ReplyDeleteBut CM can`t load, says driver`s maybe missing. Tried to fix it, but no success. Could you may look into it?
Do you have these files?;
ReplyDelete...\assettocorsa\content\driver\driver_60.kn5
...\assettocorsa\content\driver\driver_60_B.kn5
If you don't then download my driver folder, see above.
Yes, I have. I`ve also tried reloading and changing the driver model. Is it working at your system? Maybe a CSP-error?
ReplyDeleteI'm starting to think it is a CSP error.
ReplyDeleteI've seen a few reports of this error on other boards.
Once x4fab becomes aware of it I'm sure it will be fixed quickly
Tweaked aero on the 936 and C11.
ReplyDeleteNever used the 512S before in a game but it jumps to 12000 rpm when you shift with autoclutch and autoblip and it goes beyond the rpm range of the car sound.
ReplyDeleteThanks, overlooked that as I only use an H-shifter.
DeleteFixed, just download the 'data' folder belonging to that car.
Thank you!
DeleteLola T70 no working missing driver_60 no include in archive
ReplyDeleteand missing driver_base_pos.knh in car
DeleteThankyou. That's what was missing. driver_60 is Kunos so I knew it wasn't that. .knh has been uploaded now, see car folder.

DeleteChange that to 1. Hope that's enough to stop the AI blowing their engines. Many of my cars have no rev limiter and the AI doesn't understand this at the start of a race.
ReplyDeleteseveral cars on the collider.kn5 not good and the Porsche 917/20 no collider at all, I can do them again if you want

ReplyDeleteAre all the cars updated or just specific vehicles? Just wondering which ones to download on my crappy ass connection :-)
ReplyDeleteChangelogs? Yeah I need to become more organised.
ReplyDeleteI'll figure something out to make it easier, I sympathise with the lousy connection.

Big Thank you!
DeleteYou are Legion, for we are many.
Colliders updated on all cars.
ReplyDelete512S, odd numbered skins are now open top versions.
ReplyDeleteRequired to redownload car and Extra Files, as it contains the needed files.
And CSP of course.
DeleteDid I see a 917 Langheck listed? HYPE !!
ReplyDelete917K now has some skins without the central rear wing.
ReplyDeleteNeeds CSP.
How did it work? Because In Cm showroom No appear, and in Ac showroom same, but I have CSP 0.135 installed
DeleteYou can only see it in game. I've done the previews but if you redo them you will have the wing back.

ReplyDeleteFord GT40 MkII X1 added. No LODs.
ReplyDeleteI have updated the X1 with shadow layer, new material settings too.

ReplyDelete917K '71 updated

Hello there! Thank you for the 1971 917K, couple of errors I have found:
Delete- multiple material loading issue during the loading screen when trying to drive the car - car loads up though after clicking OK on them
- #22 car - rim color is wrong, it is silver right now, the original one was black with Martini stripes on the spokes
- #22 car - tail fins are not visible in the showroom (they do load up on the track though)
- #22 car - there is a hole on the roof for the rearview mirror, however this exact car does not have any cutouts for the roof mirror there.
- #22 car - half round shaped hole on the left side of the bodywork (between #22 and the Martini logo) should not be there, however there is fully round shaped recessed dome right behind the left door - that one should be a cutout.
Forgot to write one more:
Delete- #22 car - currently the tail fins are all blue, however on the real one it is white on the inside with a black Shell text and blue on the outside with a white border and Martini Racing Team text inside the blue part.
Cool. Thanks for reporting bugs.
DeleteI can fix rim colour.
The showroom(s) won't show the differences as CSP loads them only when ingame.
The hole in the roof is for the versions with a mirror up there, I may or may not get around to filling it for other version.
I look at the hole on the left but no promises.
I can tidy up that skin.
Although if you are the skin author?
I am not the author of the skin, however I am planning to do a 8k / 4K uncompressed one for the #22 car with better quality logos and stripes and including a few minor details, that is missing or incorrect on the current one.
DeleteThat battery/power socket seems to be in different places on many cars.
ReplyDeleteI may fill it in and let skin makers just paint one.
That was all the '71 skins I could find, I'm sure more will turn up shortly.
DeleteJust informing that, for the 917 '71, a number of texture errors (white boxes complaining about chrome, etc) show up while the car loads onto a track. You may just want to simplify those textures, in favor of having a straight through loading. As always-thank you. (using CM)
ReplyDeleteLeft some textures out of the 917K '71. Latest upload should have that fixed.
ReplyDeleteReference the 917 '71: You nailed it ! No texture problems and a truly terrific job overall. thank you !
ReplyDeleteToday's update to 917K '71
ReplyDeleteHole in the roof only there on skins that have the top mirror.
Filled in power socket as each car has it in different places.
̶T̶h̶o̶s̶e̶ ̶i̶n̶ ̶V̶R̶ ̶m̶a̶y̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶d̶i̶s̶a̶p̶p̶o̶i̶n̶t̶e̶d̶ ̶a̶s̶ ̶I̶ ̶d̶o̶n̶'̶t̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶m̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶b̶e̶ ̶a̶b̶l̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶g̶e̶t̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶t̶o̶p̶ ̶m̶i̶r̶r̶o̶r̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶w̶o̶r̶k̶!̶
Skins still need some tidying up.
Fantasic work on the various flavours of 917, thanks very much for your efforts, they really are appreciated!
ReplyDeleteamazing job legion, just a question: is there a possibility to see the wings in previews and in the showroom?
ReplyDeletePreviews can be generated by a work around.
DeleteIn the car folder you'll find models named for their configuration.
Open up lods.ini and change the top level to the name of choice,
then right click the cars livery and update preview.
Bit of a hassle but it's the best I've come up with so far.
done, thank you!
DeleteAmazing work! One thing though, the 71' 917 with the vertical fins, have a much lower tail than the 70'. More like the Mira lowtail version. Dont know if you missed that or something! Love the work anyhow. All time favorite car. Best regards, Mathias
ReplyDeleteYou're not wrong, I did know that when I first started but forget why or how I didn't do it. but see below.
DeleteAwesome man :D
DeleteIf the Chap 2D that one our communities best friends created were to end up in your hands, is that something you'd be interested in or is it too much hassle?
ReplyDeleteToday''s 917 K-71 gets the lower swoopier tale, but not quit modeled 100% accurately.
ReplyDeleteThe new tail definitely looks better, nice job! One minor issue with this update:
Delete- when switching to chase camera and checking any side of the car, the wheels are not spinning at all
Ha Ha. I was using the static models to do the previews and I forgot to go back to the real model. Fix will be in soon.
DeleteBut for now go to ...legion_porsche_917k_71\data\lods.ini, open that in a text viewer and change 'porsche_917k_71_TWO_FLAPS.kn5' to 'porsche_917k_71.kn5'
Hi, just noticed that the headlights weren't working properly on all 3 Mira versions - when turned on the lights were a tiny point centred in the middle of the light surface. Changing the light_0 entry int he lights.ini to read light_mask fixed it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the bug.
DeleteSome headlight parts had lost their transparency, fixed in today's upload.
Delete917 K-71 and MIRA version updated with bug fixes, see above.
ReplyDeleteThe wheels are looking good now, thank you!
DeleteOne more request for the #22 917K, is it possible to fill the air intakes on the bodywork (marked with the red rectangle) and flatten the roof part (marked with blue)?
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49673047301_921d584b9a_k.jpg
Also found a bug:
- the tail fins are sticking out on the rear of the bodywork, plus some serious distorsion going on there, please see the image below:
https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49673063806_896e2df7ce_k.jpg
To bring some good news as well, started working on the Martini Racing #22 new skin, this one will make it a lot more accurate.
Today's update takes care of the above.
DeleteSome K-71s had those ducts but I covered them in as a point of difference between the two years.
Nice one with the latest upload.
ReplyDeleteAmazing the new Porsche 917LH! thank you!
ReplyDeletecan someone create this skin for this car? https://www.imcdb.org/i015530.jpg
Hi, thanks for this awesome models!!! just 2 issues...in the new 917 LH the fan is not working, and the Ford P68 have blurred rims, even in static...please check it :)
ReplyDeleteFixed. Although I didn't have the wheel blur problem, however repacked the car to be sure.
DeleteAlso fixed the 512s for those who hadn't downloaded the 'Extras'.
thanx!!917LH fixed, I'm curious over the P68, yes, the wheels looks well now...but,it lost the high wing..
DeleteThe base model, showroom and any new previews don't have the wing(s).
DeleteBut in game you will notice two wings, one wing and no wing versions.
Unfortunately it is only graphical, the physics don't change.
Ok😊, I like this car...it's a shame that this car was not so succesful in his racing life, thanx again for the mod👌👌
Deletehttps://images.app.goo.gl/snKf3mmcPVMrFzeD6
DeleteIn terms of competitiveness, the P68 seems to sit pretty much with the 917/512/T70 etc.. although it's sat separately in the list of cars here. Are they actually different classes? Not so familiar with the history.
ReplyDeleteFIA kept messing with the Group names but the Ferrari 312PB, Lola T280 and Ford P68 are all three litre prototypes. The Ford was much earlier than the others and because of the name shuffling ran under a different Group.
ReplyDeleteA huge thank you for the 917LH, couple of suggestions for correction:
ReplyDelete- The rear lights on the Forza 3D model are in wrong position, they should look like this (#3 and #25 car shared the same rear light setup): https://lemans.slot-racing.fr/le-mans-1970/images/porsche-917L-25-LM70-S.jpg
- The front wheels should be a bit deeper in the wheel wells and the ride height should be higher at the front, indicated them with red arrows: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49715043657_4c0f0470b8_k.jpg
This picture should also serve as a good reference for the front wheel position: https://aws-cf.caradisiac.com/prod/mesimages/516970/LM70%20N%C2%B03-F018.jpg
- I also experienced some weird anomalies with the shadows, only visible when using the chase camera: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49715064677_4eac89ab6c_k.jpg
Two more things:
Delete- The top speed for the 917LH should be a bit higher, around 372km/h for the #3 and 383km/h for the #25 due to the different engine.
DeleteFront wheels repositioned and raised the front.
DeleteRegarding the top speed: the 383km/h value for the #25 car is a qualification top speed during it's fastest lap, the source of the data is the following book: "Peter Hinsdale - The Fabulous Porsche 917" - The book is from 1972, so it might not be the most accurate one data wise, so let's just leave it as it is right now.
I will continue my search for the English version of the following book, the get the most accurate data: Walter Näher - Porsche 917 Archives and Works Catalogue 1968 - 1975, unfortunately no luck so far.
Goody news, random eBay finds - Just purchased the Walter Näher book, should be here within the next 2-4 weeks!
DeleteFerrari 312T6 updated to use T2 model rather than Kunos T model.
ReplyDeleteWrong post haha - you've put this on the Prototypes post :)
DeleteBugger.
DeleteFound a bug and I have a request for the 1970 Porsche 917LH:
ReplyDelete- If I paint on the outer side of the spoiler/tail fin pieces, it will also get duplicated in mirrored form on the inside of the tail fin like this: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49728534287_1c8c86d7d2_k.jpg
- The small L-shaped metal pin located right in front of the windscreen should be moved to a new position to match the actual car, I have marked the correct postion here with a purple point / orange circle: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/49727672258_bbe68c30e9_h.jpg
Thank you for checking / fixing them!
Remapped the inside of the fins, much better AO with it like this now.
DeleteMoved the kill switch on the bonnet. Did a quick search but could not find any close up pictures so pls let me know if the kill switch is in the right place?
I am unable to see the changes despite of the fresh download, it still shows up as the previous version of the car in CM (Legion 20200330).
DeleteFor the kill switch probably this is the best picture I have right now: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/39/d1/88/39d18806b2192c7b0f408871b6bc37ef.jpg
Sorry, must have got caught in the Google Drive cache?
DeleteTry this link, https://drive.google.com/open?id=1B8unFaYVgWGY09Nu-IiQjIG8-GfGJiHi
Nope, it was my fault, I changed folder names. Please keep that in mind with the new download.
DeleteSure thing, I will keep an eye out for it, thank you for the fix. Having checked the updated version:
Delete- The tail fins look great now, superb work
- The killswitch is at the right position and angle, however there is still a dark spot on it's old position (I am using the new wireframe / AO for my skin, so it is definitely not there)
Forgot to update the txMap texture. Fixed in the latest upload.
DeleteEverything looks great now, thank you. My night shifts finally came into an end and I will have a bit more time to work on the skin during my day offs.
DeleteProblem with the Lola T70 MkIII , The headlights turn off in the distance and then lights up when it is closer
ReplyDeleteThanks for reporting the bug. Today's upload should have that fixed.
DeleteOk thanks
Deletethis car is my favorite
hi! it seems to be a bug with the ferrari 512s. The windshield and all other glass surfaces appear to be invisible
ReplyDeleteThe 512s requires Content Manager and Custom Shaders Patch.
DeleteDo you have these?
Hi, yes he does, (know the guy) haha. I too have the same problem. But also the whole front end i gone when Ai is driving it, only the wheels and the driver is visible from the firewall and forward haha.
DeleteLet me look into it.
Deletehaha tkx Mathias and yes I have CM and CSP(latest version). Also the gt40 gt110 have the same problem as the 512.. hard to see any glass.
DeleteThanks for the bug reports. The 512S didn't have the glass fully mapped so I fixed that, however the X1 should be fine. Same setting as the 917K so pretty clear until the sun reflects at an angle.
DeleteI'd fixed the missing parts of the Ferrari only a couple of weeks ago, but
today's update should have everything working properly.
Touch Wood.
DeleteAwesome man! Will try them out :)
DeleteIs it possible to split each led of "LED_YELLOW" and "LED_RED" into separate objects for the Porsche 917LH instrument panel? Finally I have found some reference material for it, so I can do a new light config.
ReplyDeleteI mean these objects:
https://i.imgur.com/tSlDjL8.png
If it is possible please edit into the kn5, that I have included with the Martini skin as it contains only universal updates that would be the same with each 917LH from 1970.
Thank you for checking in advance!
it would be awesome a rework of the gt40 mk2 from assettoland, it has a 5 speed gearbox, which is wrong (the original car has a 4 speed manual)
ReplyDeleteGreat mod! Thank you! 4 skins from the Ferrari 512 S are missing the front hood (skins nr.1, 21, 23 and 27)
ReplyDeleteThose skins have the open top. Are you using CM & CSP?
DeleteYes, I am using CM (ver. 0.8.2123.36398 (x86) & CSP (0.1.46). In the CM Showroom the skins are appearing ok (closed top all of them), only in game the hood dissappears on those 4 skins.
ReplyDeleteIf you have version 20200416 with an extension folder with 512s_opentop.kn5 inside it then everything should work.
DeleteI have it exactly like that. If I delete the file ext_config.ini from every skins folder (1,21,23,27) than the skins work great (with closed top).
DeleteI downgraded to CSP 0.1.46 and it is just as you say. So seems like you'll need to upgrade your CSP version. Can'nt be sure why it stopped working at that version and I don't know which version would see it work again. I'm always on the latest version.
DeleteDid I just use the word version four times in one sentence!!
DeleteI upgraded to CSP 0.1.61 and it works great! My bad!!! I'm sorry for wasting your time!
DeleteOne more thing. Is it possible to make retractable headlights on Mclaren M6GT? (https://cars.mclaren.com/en/legacy/m6gt)
ReplyDeleteHadn't come across that page before, I guess the model I used does have those popup headlights but not sure I can get them to work. Race car probably would have had the other version though.
DeleteHello! I cannot find any info on "Porsche 917K Fittipaldi". The no. 2 & 10 skins are from the Porsche 917 K/81, but they don't look like the K/81. Can you send a link with info? pretty please
ReplyDeleteI found the info and the story about '72 Interlagos. That's a really rare jam. Thanks
DeleteThe rare gem is my raison d'etre.
DeleteI'm having an issue getting the extra wings/spoilers to show up on the Fittipaldi car. Is there something we need to do to have them on the car?
DeleteGreat work bro! Love the Truffle Hunter. Any Chance you could put a rearview mirror in her?
ReplyDeletegreat mods dude, can you to make the 1968 Howmet TX, Alpine A210?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletethank you for the new porsche!
ReplyDeletewhen will the ferraris be ready?
ReplyDeleteNo timetable I'm afraid. That WIP thread is a bit cheeky.
Deletenp
DeleteHey GzeroD,
ReplyDeleteI noticed, when I tried to download your Porsche 917 K 1971, that the link takes me to your 917 LH 1971 instead.
Thanks for letting me know. I hope all the links work now.
ReplyDeleteHello friends, your work is excellent, cars of different categories and different times.
ReplyDeleteHi Legion!
ReplyDeleteWaiting for the models to come from Pcars2 so no timetable I'm afraid.
DeleteAh I see! I thought the models were already ripped, my mistake.
DeleteThanks for the 60s-80s content you've created here; really appreciate the updates you've done with the Group 5 oddballs and the Gp4 and Gp6 models and for donating models to the Legends team projects. Fingers crossed someone can extract the excellent PC2 Ferrari 512s and Lotus 40.
ReplyDeleteHmmmm... with the release of the 512CL, is it time to slow down the Lola ? Seems a bit fast in comparison to me... Just ruminating! :)
ReplyDeleteI thought so too. Originally made some of these cars with BOP to run with the Kunos 917.
DeleteIn time I'll revise some of the performance levels
Beautiful work anyway, BOP or no BOP. It's just nice to have all these cars available in new versions. Thanks much!
ReplyDeleteI switched the shader used for the outer windshield and headlight covers on the 917LH '70 to KSPERPIXELREFLECTION and it looks much nicer - just FYI in case you release an update some day. Give it a try, you'll like it :)
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of BOP - Just finished burning off a tank full of fuel in the 1970 917K.
ReplyDeleteHello ... Hello ... mate, it would be possible to make a variant with the (312PB and 512 Coda Lunga) and transform it into the 312PB Coda Lunga of Le Mans 1973.
ReplyDeleteHello Sorry for my english I wanted to thank you for the great models; and if it is possible I would like to know if there are news for the 908/3
ReplyDeleteThank you. The 908/3 is a Pcars2 model, so I am waiting for a copy to become available.
DeleteI am a lover of prototype sports, your 512-917s are very beautiful, but for the Alfa, Chevron, Abarth, Lola T212 there is nothing around ??
ReplyDeleteThey only show up in game, iff you have CM and CSP.
DeleteHey mate the wings don't show up on the 917 fittipaldi either in showroom or in game and they don't seem to have any effect on the car when driving either as the car drives the same as the other 917 models, i'm running csp 1.78 preview 1 but it doesn't change when using other vesions of csp. is there a solution to this? or does the car need updates?
ReplyDeleteHey Legion, I'm not finding the link to the 512s anymore. Was it removed?
ReplyDeleteThanks
By the way, I just now discovered your website... Great stuff!
DeleteAlso... I'm curious, since I've had the AC Legends packs for a long time, I noticed some of these cars are on those packs as well. Are these updates with more accurate physics or a completely different thing?
I got that impression by driving your Lola T70 mk3... It drives very differently than the ACL version!
Cheers!
Hi! just tried to race your 917 ´70 in the rain but the wiper dosent wipe of the windshield. I hope you can fix it! :)
ReplyDeleteHey Legion - strange request - your 71 917 has working twin headlights but the 70 917, as with the kunos version, does not. is there any way to give the 70 the same headlights? most period photos show the 70 917 with fully working twin headlights. i did try fiddling with the no fins kn5 and using it on the kunos version along with the lights ini and proviewnodes - it worked but messed up the wheel rims!
ReplyDeletecheers.
Try today's update. Buried in here: https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1Ub0JeuH8MqBJQED9SLUuDWNdlvyMnMXv
Deleteincredible! thanks so much, thats awesome!
DeleteHello. Would it be possible to upload the Porsche 971 lh 1970, because now it only redirects you to the 917k 71. Thanks in advance
ReplyDeleteFixed.
DeleteThank you so much!
Delete
